The tactical mode has three different lighting settings: Turbo (1000 Lumens), Low (60 Lumens) and Strobe (1000 Lumens). Outdoor mode can be cycled through 6 different channels: Turbo (1000 Lumens), High (500 Lumens). Mid (200 Lumens), Echo (8 Lumens) and Strobe (1000 Lumens). The flashlight is capable of operating at the lowest setting for up to 140 hours. The tactical tail switch allows for on the touch lighting and a side switch cycles through lighting options in outdoor mode. The external casing is beautifully crafted to fit lightly and comfortably in any sized hand. It is made from tough aircraft-grade aluminum and is built to last. The PD35 works on either a rechargeable 18650 battery or 2 CR123A batteries. This means that you can always use ordinary batteries in a pinch or if you are not near a power source. The PD35TAC also has a digital power control system that modulates the lamp brightness in tandem with the battery's charge. This means that the brightness level decreases in increments as the battery charge depletes. A simple flash on and then off indicates that the battery is low and needs to be recharged or replaced.
